“It was truly an honor to receive this award, and it has opened up so many opportunities for me. I am now in my first year at the University of South Carolina studying sales. I have had the opportunity to participate in and win a sales case competition, volunteer in the Columbia community, and work as an inside sales agent. I absolutely love the connections I gained from the chamber, which led me to the pleasure of interning with Mount Pleasant Towne Center last summer. Thank you, Mount Pleasant Chamber! You have accelerated my academic journey, and I can't wait for the next student to have the opportunity to jumpstart their academic career like it did mine! So excited for more to come, to build my network, and to gain more work experience in the Mount Pleasant area.”

"Receiving the Joe Brinson Scholarship from the MPCC has been a tremendous honor and a true game-changer for my college experience. Now in my first year at Emory University, I’ve been able to fully dedicate myself to pursuing my interests in medicine and music. This support has allowed me to take on challenging coursework, develop my laboratory skills at school, and explore my passion for music through radio broadcasting and continued piano study. The opportunities I’ve been able to access, both academically and creatively, have been invaluable. I’m incredibly grateful for the Chamber’s investment in my future, and I hope the next recipient finds this scholarship as transformative as I have. Thank you for empowering students like me to dream big and achieve more."
