When are Ribbon Cuttings held?
We provide ribbon cuttings on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m.
What is the fee?
The ribbon-cutting ceremony fee is $100 and is non refundable. It covers the MPCC’s costs associated with organizing and leading the event. The payment and completed form must be received at least 30 days before a Ribbon Cutting to allow time for scheduling.
- MPCC Members: For businesses and organizations that are current members of the MPCC, this $100 payment will be applied as a credit to their MPCC account and will be used towards their next membership renewal.
- Non-Members: Businesses and organizations that are not current members of the MPCC must also pay the $100 fee to book and hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
How do I schedule a Ribbon Cutting?
To ensure maximum marketing and attendance for your event, please submit your completed Ribbon Cutting Request Form and payment at least 30 days in advance. Requests made within 30 days of the event may not receive the same level of marketing, potentially resulting in lower attendance. After you complete the Ribbon Cutting Request form, a staff member will contact you to confirm the date and send an invoice. Your requested date will be held for 3 business days, during which time payment must be made. If you are unable to make payment within those 3 business days, please let us know.
Businesses who are requesting ribbon cuttings with MPCC will need to confirm they have a Town of Mount Pleasant Business license and Certificate of Occupancy in order to schedule a ribbon cutting. If you have any questions about either of these, please reach out to the Town of Mount Pleasant.
